Can I get a COVID vaccine on the NHS?
The NHS offers COVID vaccination to certain priority groups, but not to everyone. Eligibility varies from year to year; you can check the latest information on NHS eligibility here.
If you are not eligible, you can choose to be vaccinated privately at clinics like ours.
How long does protection last?
Protection builds within 2–3 weeks of vaccination and helps reduce the risk of severe illness and hospitalisation. Immunity may gradually wane over time, so boosters are updated and offered to improve protection against new variants.
What is the Comirnaty® LP.8.1 vaccine?
Comirnaty® is the brand name for the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine. The latest version (LP.8.1) has been updated to target currently circulating variants.
Who is the vaccine suitable for?
It is licensed for adults and young people aged 12 years and over.
Are there any side effects I should be aware of?
Most people tolerate the vaccine well. The most common side effects are soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or headache. These usually settle within a day or two. Serious side effects are very rare.
