Influenza (Flu)
The influenza vaccine, also known as the flu jab, is a vaccine that protects against the influenza virus. The vaccine works by stimulating the body's immune system to create antibodies against the virus.
Chickenpox
Chickenpox is a highly contagious viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It is characterized by a rash of small, itchy blisters that appear all over the body. Other symptoms can include fever, headache, and fatigue.
Shingles
Shingles, also known as herpes zoster, is a painful viral infection caused by the reactivation of the varicella-zoster virus, which also causes chickenpox. We give the non-live shingles vaccine. This is considered more effective than the live shingles vaccine, and has fewer contraindications.
HPV (Human Papillomavirus)
The HPV vaccine is a preventative measure against certain strains of the human papillomavirus (HPV) which can cause a range of conditions, including cervical cancer, genital warts, and some other cancers.
Measles, Mumps & Rubella (MMR)
The MMR vaccine is a combination vaccine that protects against three viral illnesses: measles, mumps, and rubella (German measles).
