Preparing your healthcare experience...
A detailed assessment of testosterone and the hormones that influence male hormone health.
£135
Results in 2–4 working days
This advanced hormone assessment provides a detailed evaluation of your testosterone status by measuring total testosterone together with Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG), calculated free testosterone and the Free Androgen Index (FAI). These markers provide a far more complete assessment of male hormone health than measuring total testosterone alone and are particularly valuable when testosterone levels fall into the borderline range.

Attend your appointment and one of our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will collect your blood sample. If your test also includes another sample, such as urine or stool, we will provide the necessary collection kit and clear instructions.
Results are typically available within 2–3 working days. Some individual markers may take longer if they require specialist laboratory processing. We will normally wait until the full profile is complete before issuing your reviewed results.
Testosterone is usually best measured in the morning, ideally before 10:00 am, particularly when investigating possible testosterone deficiency. Fasting is not normally required unless another marker in the profile requires it.
This test may be particularly useful for: Low libido; Erectile dysfunction; TRT monitoring; Fertility concerns; Fatigue; Reduced muscle strength; Reduced athletic performance.
This test is commonly chosen when investigating: Low libido; Erectile dysfunction; Reduced energy; Poor recovery; Reduced muscle mass. Blood tests are only one part of an assessment, and results should be considered alongside your symptoms and medical history.
This test may help assess or investigate: Testosterone deficiency; Low free testosterone; High SHBG; Male hypogonadism. An abnormal result does not necessarily confirm a diagnosis, but it may help guide further assessment.
This profile includes: Testosterone; Sex Hormone Binding Globulin (SHBG); Free Androgen Index (FAI); Albumin; Calculated Free Testosterone.
For the most accurate result, avoid ejaculation and prolonged pressure on the prostate (such as cycling, rowing, horse riding or similar seated exercise) for 48 hours beforehand if possible.
If you have a urine infection, urinary symptoms, or have recently had a prostate procedure or catheter, please let us know, as your test may need to be postponed.
