Preparing your healthcare experience...
A more detailed assessment of prostate health using both total and free PSA measurements.
£125
Results in 2–4 working days
This advanced prostate assessment measures your total PSA together with free PSA and calculates your free-to-total PSA ratio. These additional measurements can provide more information than total PSA alone, particularly when PSA results fall into a borderline range, helping guide whether further assessment may be appropriate.

Attend your appointment and one of our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will collect your blood sample. If your test also includes another sample, such as urine or stool, we will provide the necessary collection kit and clear instructions.
Results are typically available within Same day. Some individual markers may take longer if they require specialist laboratory processing. We will normally wait until the full profile is complete before issuing your reviewed results.
This test may be particularly useful for: Borderline PSA; Family history of prostate cancer; Enlarged prostate; Prostate monitoring.
This test is commonly chosen when investigating: Urinary symptoms; Raised PSA; Poor urinary flow; Nocturia. Blood tests are only one part of an assessment, and results should be considered alongside your symptoms and medical history.
This test may help assess or investigate: Raised PSA; Benign prostate enlargement; Prostate inflammation; Increased risk of prostate cancer requiring further assessment. An abnormal result does not necessarily confirm a diagnosis, but it may help guide further assessment.
This profile includes: Total PSA; Free PSA; Free-to-Total PSA Ratio.
For the most accurate result, avoid ejaculation and prolonged pressure on the prostate (such as cycling, rowing, horse riding or similar seated exercise) for 48 hours beforehand if possible.
If you have a urine infection, urinary symptoms, or have recently had a prostate procedure or catheter, please let us know, as your test may need to be postponed.
