Anaemia Profile

Attend your appointment and one of our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will collect your blood sample. If your test also includes another sample, such as urine or stool, we will provide the necessary collection kit and clear instructions.

Results are typically available within 2–3 working days. Some individual markers may take longer if they require specialist laboratory processing. We will normally wait until the full profile is complete before issuing your reviewed results.

This test may help assess or investigate: Iron deficiency anaemia; Vitamin B12 deficiency; Folate deficiency; Anaemia of chronic inflammation; Nutritional deficiencies. An abnormal result does not necessarily confirm a diagnosis, but it may help guide further assessment.
