Results in 2–4 working days
If you would like the most comprehensive assessment available, this panel combines advanced PCR testing with blood screening to detect many of the most important bacterial, viral and parasitic sexually transmitted infections. It includes fourth-generation HIV testing together with hepatitis B, hepatitis C and syphilis blood tests, alongside PCR testing for chlamydia, gonorrhoea, Mycoplasma genitalium, Mycoplasma hominis, Ureaplasma urealyticum, Trichomonas vaginalis, Treponema pallidum, Haemophilus ducreyi and Herpes Simplex Virus types 1 and 2. PCR testing detects the genetic material of organisms and is one of the most sensitive methods of identifying active infection. Your results are reviewed by one of our GPs, who will explain any abnormal findings and arrange treatment or onward referral where appropriate.
