ECG

You will be given a printed 12 lead ECG tracing with an automated computer-generated report. Please note that our doctors do not routinely review this tracing as standard. If the automated report flags any concerns, you will be advised by our nurse to [book a GP appointment with us](https://www.222healthcare.co.uk/gp-services "Book A GP Consultation") or seek urgent medical care elsewhere.

By paying for a doctor to review and sign your ECG tracing, you will receive:

- Formal interpretation of your ECG by one of our GPs, who will review the tracing for abnormalities.

- Signed medical report, suitable for occupational health, sports medicals, visa applications, or other purposes requiring a doctor-signed ECG.

- Clinical context — if you provided any relevant health information at your appointment, our GP will take this into account when preparing their interpretation.

On Arrival

Please follow the signs to the designated 222 Healthcare Private GP waiting area upstairs, where you can take a seat until your nurse or doctor is ready. If you have difficulty finding it, the health centre reception team will be happy to direct you. Your nurse will collect you when ready and check your ID.

During Your ECG

The test will be carried out behind a privacy screen. Ten electrode stickers are applied to your body — one on each limb and six across the chest. To ensure a good connection with your skin, the nurse may need to shave a small area of body hair. Wires are then attached to the stickers, and the ECG device records the electrical activity of your heart.

Test Duration

The whole procedure takes around 15–20 minutes.
