Preparing your healthcare experience...
A focused female hormone profile for menstrual, reproductive and androgen hormone health.
£135
Results in 2–4 working days
This profile measures key female reproductive and androgen hormones, including oestradiol, FSH, LH, progesterone, prolactin, testosterone, SHBG and Free Androgen Index. It can help assess hormone patterns associated with menstrual changes, ovulation, perimenopause, raised prolactin and androgen excess. Hormone levels vary according to age, menstrual-cycle stage, pregnancy and hormonal medication, so the results are interpreted within your individual clinical context.

Attend your appointment and one of our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will collect your blood sample. If your test also includes another sample, such as urine or stool, we will provide the necessary collection kit and clear instructions.
Results are typically available within Same day. Some individual markers may take longer if they require specialist laboratory processing. We will normally wait until the full profile is complete before issuing your reviewed results.
Testosterone is usually best measured in the morning, ideally before 10:00 am, particularly when investigating possible testosterone deficiency. Fasting is not normally required unless another marker in the profile requires it.
This test may be particularly useful for: Irregular periods; Absent periods; Perimenopause symptoms; Menopause assessment; Suspected PCOS; Acne; Excess hair growth; Low libido; Ovulation assessment.
This test is commonly chosen when investigating: Irregular periods; Missed periods; Hot flushes; Night sweats; Acne; Excess facial or body hair; Hair thinning; Low libido; Fertility concerns. Blood tests are only one part of an assessment, and results should be considered alongside your symptoms and medical history.
This test may help assess or investigate: Menopausal hormone pattern; Ovulatory hormone changes; Hyperprolactinaemia; Androgen excess; Features associated with PCOS; Possible testosterone imbalance. An abnormal result does not necessarily confirm a diagnosis, but it may help guide further assessment.
This profile includes: Oestradiol; Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH); Progesterone; Luteinising Hormone (LH); Testosterone; Prolactin; Free Androgen Index; Sex Hormone-Binding Globulin (SHBG).
The ideal timing depends on which hormones are being measured and why they are being tested. For many fertility and ovarian function assessments, blood tests are often recommended between days 2 and 5 of your menstrual cycle (where Day 1 is the first day of your period).
If your doctor has advised a specific day for testing, please follow their recommendation. If your menstrual cycles are irregular, you are postmenopausal, or you are taking hormonal contraception or hormone replacement therapy (HRT), your clinician may recommend a different approach.
