This advanced PCR stool panel detects many of the most common infectious causes of gastroenteritis using highly sensitive molecular techniques. It screens for bacterial, viral and parasitic pathogens from a single stool sample, helping to identify infections that may be responsible for diarrhoea, abdominal pain, vomiting or prolonged gastrointestinal symptoms. Results are interpreted by one of our GPs alongside your symptoms, travel history, recent antibiotic use and medical history.
