Long COVID can cause a wide range of persistent symptoms, including fatigue, brain fog, muscle pain and reduced exercise tolerance. However, these symptoms can also occur with other medical conditions, some of which may be treatable.
Our Long COVID Comprehensive Blood Test has been designed by our GP team to investigate a broad range of potential underlying or contributing health conditions, including thyroid disorders, anaemia, nutritional deficiencies, inflammation and certain autoimmune conditions.
This blood test does not diagnose Long COVID. There is currently no single blood test that can confirm or exclude the condition.
Instead, it provides a valuable starting point for investigating other possible explanations for your symptoms, helping guide the next steps in your care.
At 222 Healthcare, this reflects our wider approach to Long COVID: first considering other medical conditions that may be contributing to symptoms, before focusing on individualised Long COVID management.
Because good Long COVID care starts with good general medical care.

No. There is currently no single blood test that diagnoses Long COVID. This panel investigates other conditions that may cause or contribute to similar symptoms, helping inform further assessment and management.
Normal blood results do not exclude Long COVID, nor do they mean that your symptoms are not genuine. They can help narrow down potential explanations, although further assessment may still be appropriate.
Yes. 222 Healthcare offers specialist Long COVID GP consultations alongside our general private GP services. Our doctors can help you understand your symptoms, consider appropriate investigations and discuss individualised management options. Consultations are booked separately.
No, this blood test does not include a GP consultation. However, you can book a separate appointment with our specialist Long COVID GP to discuss your results and what they may mean for your symptoms, or arrange a more comprehensive Long COVID Deep Dive consultation for a detailed assessment and personalised management advice.
Why do you recommend this blood test if I'm already sure I have Long COVID?
Even when your symptoms and medical history strongly suggest Long COVID, it's important to consider whether another medical condition could be causing or contributing to how you feel.
A detailed medical history goes a long way, but blood tests can help identify other conditions, such as thyroid disorders, nutritional deficiencies or inflammatory conditions, which may require different treatment.
Our specialist Long COVID clinicians are experienced in advising on treatments, including some that are not yet licensed specifically for Long COVID. Before considering these options, we want to be as confident as possible that we are treating the right condition and haven't overlooked something else that could explain your symptoms.
That's why we recommend - and usually require - comprehensive blood testing as an important starting point, even when Long COVID seems the most likely diagnosis.
