This profile investigates IgE-mediated allergy to fruits within the Rosaceae family, which includes peaches, cherries, apricots, plums, nectarines, apples, pears and related fruits. Reactions may occur as true food allergies or as part of pollen-food syndrome (oral allergy syndrome), particularly in people with birch pollen allergy. The profile measures Total IgE together with specific IgE antibodies to a selection of Rosaceae fruits, helping identify allergic sensitisation. Results are reviewed by one of our GPs and interpreted alongside your symptoms and medical history to determine whether the findings are likely to represent genuine food allergy, cross-reactivity or pollen-food syndrome.

Attend your appointment and one of our experienced nurses or phlebotomists will collect your blood sample. If your test also includes another sample, such as urine or stool, we will provide the necessary collection kit and clear instructions.
