This assessment measures the two principal blood tests used to evaluate thyroid function: Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) and Free Thyroxine (Free T4). Together these tests provide a more complete assessment than TSH alone and are commonly requested when investigating symptoms of an underactive or overactive thyroid, monitoring thyroid conditions or reviewing thyroid medication.
