It protects against four types of meningococcal bacteria (groups A, C, W, and Y), which can cause meningitis (inflammation of the lining of the brain and spinal cord) and septicaemia (blood poisoning).

Yes. For certain destinations such as Saudi Arabia (for Hajj/Umrah), a valid vaccination certificate is required, and we can provide this for an additional £10 fee.

Most people tolerate the vaccine well. The most common side effects are soreness at the injection site, mild fever, or headache. These usually settle within a day or two. Serious side effects are very rare.
